Privacy Policy
How we handle your registration data.
Effective Date: June 21, 2026
Homereg values your privacy. This policy outlines how we handle your data when you register domains or use our services. By using Homereg, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information Collection and Use
When you create an account and register a domain, we require basic contact information (Name, Email). This is strictly used to attribute the domain registration to your account and to contact you in the event of abuse.
WHOIS Privacy and Redaction
Traditional domain registrars are forced to publish your name, address, and phone number to the public ICANN WHOIS database. Because we are an experimental homelab namespace, we offer Free WHOIS Privacy Protection.
When WHOIS Privacy is enabled at checkout, your contact details are fully redacted from all public queries against our registry. We only store your data internally for account management.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others. We do not share data with third-party advertisers.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use localStorage to maintain your authentication tokens (JWT) and your Shopping Cart state across browser sessions. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies.
